Ellensburg’s Run for the Brave 2019

This 5K is for everyone- runners, walkers, individuals, families. Beautiful route from Rotary Park around Carey Lake, mostly on paved paths or dirt trails. This year we are dedicating the event to Deputy Ryan Thompson and Officer Benito Chavez who were tragically shot while on duty on March 19, 2019; Deputy Thompson was killed and Officer Chavez is recovering from his serious injuries. Proceeds will be split between Deputy Thompson’s family, Officer Chavez and the Kittitas County Veterans Coalition which provides important services to our local veterans.

Come join us (and firefighters, first responders and military personnel who often do this run in their gear!) on October 6 and support these good causes!

Airlift Northwest will land their helicopter after the run at 10:30 AM (barring any emergencies) and all are invited to meet the crew and get a look inside the helicopter!
