Jack Patera

Biographical Info
Jack Patera (b. 1933) is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota. Today he is retired and living in the Cle Elum area. He is a former guard, linebacker and coach in the National Football League. He played for the Baltimore Colts, drafted in the fourth round in 1955. He went on to play for the Chicago Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. He was an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings. In 1976 he became the first head coach of the Seattle Seahawks.
