Puget Sound Energy’s Community Town Hall on Wildfire Mitigation and Response

Over the past decade, wildfires have emerged as a significant public health and safety concern for much of the Western United States. Emergency preparedness and response is at the core of Puget Sound Energy’s services, and we view meeting the growing challenge of wildfires as an extension of that responsibility. PSE is taking a comprehensive approach to mitigating the evolving risk of wildfires in our service area, working to ensure safety while maintaining the reliable delivery of energy to our customers.

As a part of PSE’s Wildfire Mitigation and Response Plan, we’re inviting communities at a higher risk for wildfire to join PSE in conversation around our wildfire mitigation plan and future tools under consideration, including Public Safety Power Shut-offs (PSPS). You’re receiving this email because your Kittitas County property is within an area of higher wildfire risk associated with electric infrastructure, the existing climate and environment. Join us at a community town hall to learn about and share your input on PSE’s wildfire response plan. Your feedback will be used to inform PSE’s future planning and processes.
